Getting started

DigiCell PrePaid service works with any dual band 850/1900 GSM handset.  There are no limitations to the type of mobile phone you can use. A wide variety of the latest phones are available at Telemedia Customer Services Centers and DigiCell authorized dealers and agents countrywide.

Once you’ve got the handset all you need is the DigiCell PrePaid SIM Pack. These are available at any Telemedia Customer Services Center, authorized dealers and agents countrywide. The SIM pack includes an activated DigiCell PrePaid SIM, an information booklet and a $10 DigiCell PrePaid card.
Insert your SIM into the back of your phone, turn it on and DigiCell will appear on your screen. Load the value from your FREE $10 card onto your account and then you’re all set! You can make and receive calls immediately!

Adding Value to Your Prepaid Account

There are 3 ways to get more value for your PrePaid account.

  1. Purchase a DigiCell PrePaid card, available in $10, $20, $30 and $50 values at Telemedia Customer Services Centers, authorized dealers and agents countrywide.

  2. Purchase an e-Pin (electronic pin), available in $2, $5, $10, $20, $30 and $50 values at Telemedia Customer Services Centers, authorized dealers and agents countrywide.

  3. Using Direct top up, you may purchase any dollar value from $2 up to $500 which can be added to any DigiCell PrePaid account using Telemedia's Fone TopUp, a real-time electronic recharge system that allows Telemedia cashiers to top up a PrePaid number with any dollar value. Direct top up is available at Telemedia Customer Services Centers countrywide.

To Add Value from a PrePaid Card or e-Pin dial 135 or *10 and follow the automated instructions.

Now you can directly access the services you need by using these new short codes:

  • Press *00 for Customer Service
  • Press *10 to Recharge your Account
  • Press *20 for your account balance
  • Press *30 for the details on your last five calls
  • Press *11 to select the Language of your choice (English, Spanish and Mandarin)
  • Press *22 to receive an SMS Notification with Credit and Balance Notification

  • Peak hours = 6:00 a.m. to 5:59 p.m., Monday to Friday,
  • Off Peak hours = 6:00 p.m. to 5:59 a.m. Monday to Friday and all weekend long.

TRUE Per Second Billing

Save from the very first second of your call with DigiCell, the only mobile service to offer TRUE Per Second Billing. All calls made from your DigiCell to any number within Belize are billed in seconds; as a result you only pay for the seconds you talk.  What this means for our customers is MORE SAVINGS with DigiCell!

What is TRUE Per Second Billing?

TRUE Per Second Billing means that calls from your DigiCell phone to any number within Belize are billed in seconds.  For instance, if you make a call for 15 seconds you are charged for 15 seconds. If you speak for 1 minute and 15 seconds then you are charged for 75 (60 +15) seconds.

Why is it called “TRUE” Per Second Billing?

Unlike any other mobile service in Belize, with DigiCell you start enjoying Per Second Billing from the very first second of your call.  There are no hidden conditions or prerequisites to enjoy great savings.
