What is the FREE SIM Upgrade

The FREE SIM upgrade allows DigiCell PrePaid and PostPaid customers with a 2G/3G SIM or 4GLTE device using a regular SIM to upgrade to a 4GLTE SIM at no charge. 

What is a 4G LTE SIM?

 

The 4GLTE Universal Subscriber Identity Module (uSIM) card is a small ‘smartcard’ that is inserted into a 4GLTE capable device.  This uSIM card contains your subscriber profile, which includes details about your plan and features.  The uSIM card also lets you access our 4GLTE Network.

 

Where can I upgrade my regular SIM?

 

Existing PrePaid and PostPaid DigiCell customers can visit any BTL office countrywide to take advantage of this FREE SIM upgrade.

 

Who qualifies for the FREE 4GLTE SIM upgrade?

Both existing PrePaid and PostPaid DigiCell customers qualify for this promotion, as long as they are in possession of a regular SIM or a 4GLTE device using a regular SIM.

What will I need to have my regular SIM upgraded?

Customers will need to present a valid ID card, preferably a valid Social Security card or Passport to confirm identity.  Customers will also need to have the regular SIM in their possession at the time of the upgrade.

How long is the FREE 4GLTE SIM upgrade promotion?

The FREE 4GLTE SIM upgrade starts on Wednesday, August 1.  This is a limited time offer promotion.

Do I receive anything when I upgrade my SIM?

DigiCell PrePaid and PostPaid customers automatically qualify to receive 3GB of FREE LTE data which expires in 15 days.  This is a bonus offer that allows the user to enjoy the true 4GLTE experience.

 

Will I qualify for the FREE 3GB LTE data if I have a PostPaid data plan?

Yes, the FREE 3GB LTE data is configured to take priority over the customer’s standard data plan and Add-On.  This means that the FREE 3GB LTE data plan will be used first, thereafter, usage of any active data plans will follow.
