Traveling Abroad
International Roaming is an easy way to be in touch with friends, family and business associates when traveling abroad. You will be able to use your own GSM service and number in any of the countries DigiCell has roaming agreements with. Before traveling check on the network frequency of the country you plan to visit and ensure that your cell phone also supports that frequency.

DigiCell Data Roaming Service
Also, when roaming abroad, you can have access to the Internet using your same DigiCell Premier number. Click here to find out how.
Before you leave the country, remember to do the following:
- Check www.digicell.bz to see an updated listing of DigiCell’s Roaming partners and services provided by each.
- Check that your cell phone supports the frequency of the country you will visit.
- Check www.gsmworld.com for detailed information on providers' coverage, network, website and network codes.
- Sign up for DigiCell Data Service to Data roam when traveling abroad.
Getting Started
Find the network selection setting in your DigiCell phone menu and select "AUTOMATIC". When you land at your destination, turn on your cell phone and allow it to update and locate DigiCell's roaming partner network in the country you are visiting. (Some cell phones will need you to manually select the network. Refer to the cell phone Owner's Manual for instructions).
Making Calls
Making a call when roaming is just as easy as making a call in your country.
When making a call, remember that the "+" replaces the international access code, even when making calls to other DigiCell numbers. You will dial: "+" followed by the country code then area code followed by phone number. E.g. to call the UK when roaming, dial +44-29-1234-567.
Receiving Calls
Someone calling you will dial the way they usually do. DigiCell will automatically deliver the call to wherever you are so that your callers never have to know where you are in order to reach you.
Restrictions
Outgoing and incoming calls can also be restricted while roaming. To activate and deactivate call barring, follow the instructions below:

Services Available when Roaming
You should be able to use most of DigiCell’s features you presently have, while you are abroad. Contact or visit the DigiCell’s roaming partner’s website to find out about their basic services.
Visiting Belize
When visiting Belize, you are able to keep in touch with friends, family and business associates when you are away from your home country. Just check with your Service Provider to see if they have Roaming agreements with DigiCell in Belize.
DigiCell operates in the GSM 850/1900 band with coverage that expands to the major populated areas in the country. If your cell phone does not support the 850/1900 band, then you can rent a phone from the Telemedia Airport Customer Services Center.
Rates and billing for International Roaming are completed between you and your home mobile service provider.
